A 7 1/4in gauge model of a 0-4-0 Saddle tank engine No. 3458 Dock Shunter 'Ironside'

The well engineered locomotive with copper boiler hydraulically tested to twice running pressure (180psi), twin external cylinders, slip eccentric reverse, twin injectors and piping, backhead details include pressure gauge and water glass, screw down safety valves and hand operated brake lever, other details include footsteps to cab and running board, sprung buffers, lamps and wooden buffer beams, finished in green and black livery. Together with an part built driving trolley with twin handpumps and twin axle pumps, Locomotive 90cm (35 1/2in) long, driving trolley 121cm (47 1/2in) long. (The locomotive is based on Martyn Evans Singapore design but finished as Ironside which was one of two locomotives purchased by Southampton docks board in 1893, it then passed to LBSC Railways and then to Southern Railways. For many years the engine was based at Guildford station where the vendor as a young lad saw it several times in the yard.)
