Tubed coal fired copper boiler, large chimney, boiler mounted single cylinder with ball governor, oil box, brass whistle, safety valve and regulator operating 11 3/8in (29cm) spoked flywheel. Backhead fittings include pressure and water gauges, screw down safety valves, hand operated speed gear lever, worm and chain steering and more. Spoked front and rear treaded wheels, side mounted winding drum and cable and other details. Plate to cylinder housing 'CHAS BURRELL & SONS Ltd, MANUFACTURERS, THETFORD, ENGLAND', and to boiler side 'NIMROD', finished in green, red and maroon livery.
Model constructed based on plans from H.R Plastow, gears professionally cut, castings purchased and all other items lathe turned or made. Together with photo's depicting construction and other papers including original boiler certificate. Approx 112cm (44in) long.
