    Marta Ghezzi Baldinotti (Naples 1649-Rome 1718), was the daughter of Felice Angelo Ghezzi, Duke of Carpignano and Baron Zullino. On 17 April 1667 she married the Marquis Cesare Baldinotti di Pistoia (1636-1728), Duke of Pescorocchiano. They had a daughter, Ginevra, who married Count Francesco Maria Carpegna.

    Professor Francesco Petrucci, the principal conservator at the Palazzo Chigi and the leading authority on Voet has confirmed the attribution on the basis of photographs at the time of the previous sale.
