Rectangular with canted corners, the cover decorated with a painted polychrome scene depicting an Italianate landscape with a farmer pausing in his task of ploughing a field, his horse and ox feed nearby, flanked by two champlevé enamelled classical urns simulating lapis lazuli, the borders with a band of chased flowerheads and elaborate acanthus scrolls and below a band of blue tasselled swags, on a black ground, sides decorated with striped blue guilloché enamelled bands, the canted corners decorated with stylised champlevé enamelled flower heads and swags, the underside with blue guilloché enamelled bands within a chased and black champlevé enamelled floral border, length 9cm, weight 96gms.

27.5% on the first £10,000 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
