Rectangular with canted corners, the cover decorated with a family scene in an idealised landscape, all dressed in the Empire manner, the father in royal blue coat with yellow striped scarf and curly black locks holds his auburn daughter in pink frock, the mother dressed in purple and gold dangles cherries above the head of her baby, framed by a light blue champlevé enamel foliate scroll border with paterae on a black ground, sides embellished with light-blue enamelled panels with twisted paillon band, interrupted by white enamelled pilasters, the underside decorated with a light-blue enamelled panel with twisted paillon band within the foliate scroll and paterae border, length 9.4cm, weight 148gms.

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £10,000 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
