The Rouge Griotte marble top with stepped edge and outset rounded corners above a gilt egg-and-dart banding and three frieze drawers mounted with intricately entwined laurel and foliate vines centering a lion's mask escutcheon above two cabinet doors mounted with floral and fruited vines forming golden mean spirals with trailing floral wisps centering a Wedgwood jasperware plaque depicting Coriolanus with his wife and mother begging him to return to Rome, above a band of swagged festoons raised on palmette banded feet, with two original gilt keys; the case stamped F. LINKE underneath top on each front corner; lock plate signed F. Linke, lockplate stamped on inside C T LINKE, SERRRURERIE PARIS.
