CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY. [MAO ZEDONG, ZHOU ENLAI, et al.] Holograph Letter in an unknown hand, with secretarial signatures of MAO ZEDONG, ZHOU ENLAI, BO GU, and ZHANG WENTIAN, 6 pp, 8vo, n.p., August 9, [1936], an 18 point letter addressed to Zhang Xueliang outlining a strategy to convince Chiang Kai-shek to cooperate with Communist forces,

ZHANG QUN. 1889-1990. Autograph (or possibly scribal) Letter, 3 pp, 4to, Nanjing, [September-early December, 1936], to Chiang Kai-shek, on blue stationery, regarding ongoing negotiations with the Japanese,

MAO ZEDONG. 1893-1976. Manuscript Document Signed in character and stamp as Red Army representative, 2 pp, 8vo, n.p., [October-December], 1936, being a draft of an agreement titled "Resistance Against Japan," prepared for the signature of Zhang Xueliang but not signed by him,

ZHANG XUELIANG. 1901-2001. Autograph Manuscript Signed in character 5 times, 8 pp, 16mo, n.p., "night January 6, 26th year of the Republic" (i.e. 1937), housed in a small red leatherette journal, very minor wear.

LYON, HYLAND "BUD." 1908-1973. A large collection of photographs, correspondence, and memorabilia, much of it relating to Lyon's years in China, 1934-1941, but also including early and late material, as follows:
