    Captain John Auty Rogers was born on the 3rd December 1886. He trained in Surgery in India c.1905 (Non-Register); 3rd Class Assistant Surgeon c.1906; 1st Class Assistant Surgeon c.1920; M.R.C.S. Eng., L.R.C.P. Lond. 1929; Senior Assistant Surgeon & Lieutenant 1st Jan 1933; Senior Assistant Surgeon & Captain 4th October 1937; retired c.1939.

    Served with the Indian Division in France. His MIC states that he serves in France from the 3rd November 1914 and that his trio is issued by the Government of India.

    Sold with a letter from the Central Chancery confirming the details of the MBE and the award of the Jubilee and Coronation medals.

25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £2,500 up to and including £300,000;

and 13.9% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £3,000,000.
