Lacquered with two woodsmen crossing a deep ravine by a rope bridge above jagged rocks, in gold takamakie, the interior of matt black lacquer, signed Aidani-hashi no fujitsuru ni oite shuzai shite (I took as my subject the wisteria creeper on Aidani Bridge), Gyo(nen) rokujusan Toyo (Toyo, 63 years old) with kao; with a cast metal ojime in the form of a covered jar, signed [...]cha. 8.2cm (3¼in).

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £2,500 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £2,500 up to and including £300,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £300,000 up to and including £3,000,000;
and 13.9% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £3,000,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
