Footnotes

  • In 1972 a new Carrera model with reference 1553 N was added to the portfolio with the new Calibre 15 movement. The N stands for the dark blue dial with contrasting silver subdials. The Calibre 15 features a small permanent second at 10 o'clock whilst the hours sub-register has been omitted. This led to an asymmetric new dial design and with this example reflected the Martini Racing colours. The Caliber 15 Carrera did not achieve substantial volumes therefore pieces with this stunning and creative dial are seldom offered on the collectors' market.
