We are pleased to report the original registration number of D186XBV has now been returned onto the vehicle. Please note the full ownership history stated as being present is not on file. Intended as replacement for the ageing Majestic Major Limousine, the DS420 was introduced in 1968. The new car was based on a stretched Jaguar 420G floorpan and running gear, the latter's all-independent suspension providing excellent handling and ride characteristics, while the 4.2-litre, six-cylinder XK engine ensured that there was no shortage of power. Motor Panels built the traditionally styled bodies which were trimmed by Vanden Plas and, later, Jaguar themselves. Popular with mayors and funeral directors, the spacious, seven-seater Daimler was also a favourite of the Royal Family, whose warrant the company still holds. Production of the DS420 - last of the coachbuilt Daimlers - ceased in 1992. This DS420 hearse has been corporate owned for its entire life and always serviced. With the same owner since 2004, it comes with full ownership history and is described as in generally good/excellent condition, the odometer showing only 83,095 miles. Offered without reserve, the vehicle comes with Swansea V5 registration document and a quantity of expired MoT certificates.
