An Australian cedar and rose mahogany Gentleman's press by Andrew Lenehan
circa 1843
The central section with a pair of rose mahogany panelled doors enclosing shelves above five long drawers, flanked by pointed arched cupboard doors enclosing hanging space and shoe drawers with brass countersunk handles, raised on a cross-banded plinth base, with origianl J. Duce locks, with maker's label to top drawer;
'Lenehan's/Cabinet/and/Upholstery/Establishment/Castlereagh Street/Sydney', 264cm wide, 72cm deep, 210cm high (103.5in wide, 28in deep, 82.5in high).
