Of hexagonal section, finely painted in enamels and gilt, each face depicting a different figural or kacho-ga scene including a winding Daimyo procession, two bijin struggling with their umbrellas in the autumnal wind, flowering stalks of chrysanthemums and birds perched on peony, the shoulder with densely-clustered assorted flower heads, the cover decorated with Hotei and four karako ensconced within his treasure sack, signed Hasegawa sei.
