A George III Irish carved mahogany bureau cabinet
The upper part with a riband, flowerhead and arched dentil moulded cavetto cornice and blind fret carved frieze above a pair of similar carved fielded panel doors flanked by blind fret carved lozenge uprights and enclosing a fitted interior of two adjustable shelves with carved edges and a shell and foliate scroll carved entablature above seven pigeonholes and three drawers, the lower part with a sloping fall enclosing a fitted interior comprising of a later baize lined writing surface with two large pigeonholes with pierced fret carved top and five various drawers and five various pigeon holes, flanked by similar canted carved uprights above four long graduated drawers on moulded bracket feet, 108cm wide, 57cm deep, 217cm high (42.5in wide, 22in deep, 85in high).
