Ottoman Turkish manuscript on European watermarked paper, 169 leaves, 19 lines to the page written in one and two columns of divani script in black ink, significant words and sentences picked out or underlined in red, inner margins ruled in red, catchwords, one illuminated headpiece in gold and some red, corners rather thumbed, stained, browned, contemporary brown morocco with stamped central medallions decorated with Chinese cloudbands and outlined in gilt, crudely repaired and rebacked, with flap, numerous seal impressions and inscriptions of previous owners
