A Brass-Barrelled Flintlock Blunderbuss

With long barrel with a turned ring behind the turned and belled muzzle, and engraved with a foliated rocaille at the breech, engraved iron tang, signed border engraved flat bevelled lock decorated with foliage on the tail, figured full stock (some bruising) carved with a shell (chipped) behind the barrel tang, border engraved brass mounts decorated with foliated rocailles on the shaped flat bevelled side-plate and heel tang of the butt-plate, vacant cast and chased trophy of arms escutcheon, trigger-guard (finial replaced) with a flower-head on the bow, brass ramrod-pipes, and later brass-tipped ramrod (some wear overall), private Birmingham proof marks and Thomas Ketland's barrelsmith's mark
