With curved fullered blade double-edged towards the point and burnished bright overall (minor areas of rust patination), the forte on one side etched with a man-in-the-moon, stars, a profile bust of a Turk, an arm emerging from a cloud holding a sword, and a dragon, and on the other with trophies of arms and a further dragon, regulation iron stirrup hilt with rounded pommel and back-piece in one, fixed loop for the original sword-knot, the latter of textile woven with bullion, and ribbed leather-covered grip bound with twisted silver wire, in original black leather scabbard (some wear and crazing) with iron locket, chape and suspension mount each decorated with bands of fluting, the first signed in an oval on one side and with fluted frog-button (some surface rust, suspension rings missing)

and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
