Footnotes

  • Designed by Georges Huel and Michel Daillaire. After lighting the torch at Olympia in the usual way and with a relay of runners to Athens, the Canadian torch flame was ignited by means of a satellite signal before a team of 1200 runners carried it to the Stadium.
