This partially oriented complete meteorite specimen, weighing nearly two pounds, boasts one side of dark brown fusion crust with parts of the lip of the front edge melting over onto the back side of the meteorite. The unique surface of this meteorite displays an interesting brown textured surface. The Gebel Kamil Ataxite, with 19.8% nickel content, was found on February 19, 2009 in the East Uweinat Desert of Egypt. A total of about 1600 kg of meteorites were found consisting of thousands of pieces of shrapnel type meteorites illustrating the tremendous destructive explosion of the impact. Half of this fall was taken to the Egyptian museum. Weighs 856 grams. Measures 4 x 3 x 1 1/4 in
