A buncheong ware flask with iron-painted decoration
Joseon dynasty, 15th/16th century
Of flattened ovoid form raised on a short foot and finished with a wide, flared rim, the container covered in a creamy slip and the opposing faces painted in brown with a leafy plant in brown slip, all beneath a clear glaze with faint celadon tine where pooled in drips along the shoulder, the creamy slip and the glaze also applied within the recessed base.
