A U.S. Model 1805 Harpers Ferry flintlock martial pistol
Serial no. 410, .54 caliber. 10 1/8 inch barrel with serial number. US and eaglehead over P proofs at breech. Lockplate wtih eagle over US and at tail Harpers/Ferry/1807. Brass furniture of standard pattern. Walnut stock with sharp V/CW (Charles Williams) in trefoil cartouche. Wooden ramrod.
Condition: Fine. Metal has been lightly cleaned to bright and shows areas of very light pitting and extremely sharp markings. Excellent lock in original configuration. Stock with scattered light marks, hairline crack to right side of fore-end and an expertly restored area around the front of the lockplate. Ramrod probably replaced.
