A gold lacquer four-case inro
By Koami Nagaharu, 19th century
Bearing a kinji ground and lacquered with a continuous scene of multiple flocks of majestic cranes in flight, representing the senba-zuru (one thousand cranes) in black takamakie, their black plumage contrasting beautifully against the gold ground, the interior of nashiji, signed Kosai Hirose Nagaharu saku with red pot seal. 8cm (3 1/8in).

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £10,000 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
