A rare and unusual green overlay aventurine-glass snuff bottle
1780-1850
With flat lip and recessed oval foot, the flattened side of the body carved through the iridescent green overlay to the aventurine-glass ground, showing one of the Hehe twins holding a scroll with a four character inscription of an idiom, the rounded reverse with the Bajixiang (Eight Buddhist Elements) carved in low relief, stopper.
