Footnotes

  • Eric Clapton acquired this guitar in Paris in April 1995 during the From The Cradle Blues Tour.

Mike Lewis commented in 2010 that in 1995 he was invited to:
"come and show some of my guitars to Eric when he was playing in Paris, which I did and he bought the Tricone. I had only been making guitars for two years, so I was one happy man. That guitar is the first one of that model and the only one to have LEWIS on the headstock (all the others after that had Fine Resophonic). The Ukulele [see Lot 23] was a gift to Eric just to have some fun with and it was one of a batch of five."
