B-10, BB-163, R.2. Upper side of 1 in date is a straight line, point of star enters eagle's mouth and touches eagle's lower beak, a pronounced die crack extends from border through OF down through bottom of AMERICA. Other die cracks are also noted on the reverse.

A boldly struck Uncirculated example with the portrait of Liberty strong and displaying nice hair detail. A mixture of medium gray, blue-green, and deep amber toning are interspersed over each side. The obverse presents a bit lighter in tone than does the reverse. The feather detail is strong on the wings with minor flatness on the right side of the eagle's neck. Other than the previously mentioned die cracks on the reverse, there are no identifying marks or other distractions on this exceptionally well preserved survivor. (PCGS 6878)
