A rare Nantgarw teacup and a Paris saucer, circa 1818-20
Of Duke of Cambridge service type, the cup of shallow form with a plain loop handle, painted in London with a central floral spray, the borders with alternating circular and oval panels painted with colourful birds, landscapes and arrangements of fruit, reserved on a red drapery ground, an elaborate gilded border inside within a dentil rim, saucer 12.5cm diam (slight wear to the gilding) (2)
