A large G & J Lines Dolls House, circa 1910
The painted wooden house with white facade and original red brick papered walls and pitched roof with two chimney's. Facade with bays and central panel with windows to each side on three levels, the paneled front door with carved portico, balcony above with French windows, all windows having carved and moulded sills and surrounds (four with original glazing). Front opens in two wings to front to reveal six rooms on three levels, central hallway and two landings with interior doorways painted in white and gold. Each room having original patterned papers to walls and floors. Bathroom with built-in metal bath connected to water-tank in attic. Kitchen having built in wooden dresser, all rooms with original moulded fire places and some windows with original net curtains some loss to roof papers, paint original but flacking in places, top central window lacks pediment, most windows lack glazing). Together with a small amount of furniture including wash stand, tables, chairs, beds, crib, chaise lounge, Grandfather clock, coal shuttle and more (mostly damaged). 143cm (56in) tall, 110cm (43in) wide, 59cm (23in) deep.
