A large pair of Canton famille rose vases and covers
19th Century, each of baluster form, enamelled on each of the main sides with a rectangular panel enclosing figures engaged in combat or within a court setting, all with similar shaped cartouches to the necks, all amidst birds and butterflies, amidst melon and peach sprigs each blossoming peony and leaves, inset to each side with moulded handles in the form of ladies seated on lotus, the covers surmounted by finials in the form of seated ladies, 55.5cm high.
