Half-kneeling on an oval base, holding a bamboo cane, in front of a log on which rests a hammer and wet stone for sharpening his cleaver, a basin containing a kettle and cups at his side and a food container and plate of fish resting at his back, signed in a tsuishu-lacquer Seiri/Shizutoshi. 9.2cm x 10.1cm (3 5/8in x 4in).
