King's RL: Rif:C.); 1914-15 Star; British War and Victory Medal with MID Oakleaf (Lt.Col.C.H.N.Seymour.); India General Service 1908-35, two bars, Mahsud 1919-20, Waziristan 1919-21 (Lt.Col.C.H.N.Seymour.     Lieutenant Colonel C.H.N.Seymour was born on 11.11.1874, he was the son of the late Lord Albert Seymour who was second son of the 5th Marquess of Hertford. He was educated at Charterhouse. Second Lieutenant K.R.R.C. 15.9.1897; Lieutenant 30.8.1899; Captain 7.1.1902; Major 1.9.1915. Served in operations in Natal in 1899 including actions at Rietfontein and Lombards Kop, Defence of Ladysmith, including action of 6th Jan 1900. Operations in Natal from March to June 1900 including actions at Laing's Nek. Operations in the Transvaal 30.11.1900 to June 1901. Operations in Orange River Colony June to September 1901 Operations in the Zululand Frontier of Natal, Sept to Oct 1901. Operations in the Transvaal and Orange River Colony Nov 1901 to 31 May 1902. Served as Company Commander with 8th K.R.R.C., then commanded various service battalions of K.R.R.C. and Rifle Brigade. He was severely wounded in February 1916. He returned to France in January 1917.

25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
