  • PROVENANCE:
    With Galerie Degbomey, France

Camille-Pierre Pambu Bodo, called Bodo, was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and currently lives and works in Kinshasa. Like Cheri Samba and Moke, he is one of the founders of the movement known as the Zaïre school of popular painting. As such, he takes his inspiration from everything that he sees and experiences and combines it with a visionary style to create works that ultimately aim to share dreams of a better world.

Bodo's work has been exhibited extensively in Europe, including at Tate Modern and the Guggenheim Bilbao and is in the Contemporary African Art Collection (CAAC).
