1965 BSA Lightning
Frame no. A50B7842
Engine no. A65D4764
In 1962 BSA introduced their new 654cc twin. It had a unit construction overhead valve engine and four speed gearbox, was slightly lighter than its predecessor but much of the internal design was unchanged, although there was a move to alternator electrics and coil ignition. By 1965 this machine had become the Lightning which was a natural design progress aimed at the American market.

This example is described by the vendor as a running, complete bike with new paint on the tank and side covers. The Lightning is an iconic British twin of the period and a natural choice for a spirited Sunday morning ride.
