Footnotes

  • 清中期 黃花梨有束腰馬蹄足半桌

The textured wood grain, combined with the rich patination of the treasured huanghuali wood, mark this side table out as an exciting and rare example. The form of the table – waisted with straight corner-legs and horse hoof feet - provides great insight to the origin of box-construction furniture in the Qing dynasty.
