A Marilyn Monroe and Milton Greene-related letter, 1957
Typed on a single page of letterhead from attorney Irving L. Stein; dated "19 March 1957," the note is addressed to a Robert H. Montgomery, Jr. [probably an attorney also] and reads in part "...I have asked Milton / Greene for a list of the items of his property which Marilyn now has..." Evidently written when the Monroe/Greene partnership was breaking up as the two former friends were communicating through their lawyers, plus the list of Greene's items seems somewhat petty (a "G.E. Toaster" and a "Wooden Salad Bowl and Wooden Serving Spoons," etc.). A 'C.C.' on the bottom margin reads "Mrs. Arthur Miller" and a number of penciled explanations appear in the side margins, though they're not in MM's hand.
