Gilt half plate keyless lever movement jeweled through the center, bi metallic balance with flat spring and micrometer regulator, single button chronograph work planted on the backplate, engraved cuvette, white enamel dial with 60-seconds / minute ring enclosing roman chapters, subsidiary seconds, gold scroll hands and blued sweep hand, the case elaborately engraved with foliate scrolls and horse head, case, dial and movement signed. 57 mm diam.

  • Henry-Alfred Lugrin (1848-1901) patented an early form of flyback chonograph that was adopted by the American Waltham Watch Co. He emigrated from Switzerlzand to New York, ultimately working as a watchmaker in Brooklyn.
