A pair of soft-metal inlaid bronze imperial presentation vases

Cast in bronze and set on four scroll feet and with a bulbous body tapering at the neck and flaring out at the mouth, applied with stylized-dragon handles, the body decorated with blossoming peonies, plum and bamboo in flush-inlaid silver, gold, copper and shakudo, the bottom section designed with stylized confronted dragons, the neck decorated with a gold Imperial chrysanthemum, signed on the underside of the base Dai Nihon Teikokou Ishikawa-kenka Kaga-ku Kanazawa Doki kaisha zo 15in (38.1cm) high (2).
