An important diver's helmet used during the salvage of the S.S. "Normandie"

a twelve (12) bolt, four (4) port helmet, each port with a glass guard, a knock exhaust valve, air intake, a Craftsweld communication box [partial wiring coming from the back of the helmet], the owner's plate engraved "M.C. & S. Corp./Construction/51-30" and a maker's plate engraved "A. SCHRADER'S & Son, Inc./Mfgrs of/Diving Aparatus/626/New York, USA", securing pin, internal air vents; the corselet with brass banding secured with wing nuts, and other details.
