Black velvet 6 panel cap with gold tassel and trim, embroidered with rose to front and '19E.B.A32' to peak. Manufacturers label A.J.Bailey of Old Hall Street in Liverpool inside cap. Lot includes team picture and Edward Jones career details.

  • Edward Jones was better known as 'Teddy', and was born in Liverpool on 21st May 1908. He played in ten international games for England v Wales in 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933, 1934, 1935, 1938, 1939, 1948 and 1949, winning 4 E.B.A. Challenge Cup medals in 1928, 1930, 1931 and 1933. He was also the 3rd Englishman to hit over 100 runs for England. He was rated by many as the best left-hander to ever play for England. The mens international between Wales and England is the showcase event of the baseball calendar, first held in 1908, the match has attracted as many as 12,000 spectators.

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £10,000 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
