  • SCARCE. The first edition of the first book to be published on cintematography in England. Hepworth (1874-1953), the son of a Victorian magic lanternist, was only twenty-three years old when he wrote it, and in the following year he designed and patented the first film processing machine, later turning towards film production. The advertisements are for equipment (including that of Birt Acres), and films offered by Philipp Wolff and Fuerst Bros.
