A late 17th/early 18th century Chinese-Export black lacquered Escritoire
heightened in red and gilt chinoiseries, the rectangular ogee moulded cornice above a cushion frieze drawer and fall front enclosing a ratcheted slope, central cupboard door enclosing three short drawers, surrounded by eleven short drawers and eight pigeonholes, sliding to reveal two drawers behind, with a sliding well below enclosing two further drawers, the lower part with two short and two long drawers on bracket feet, 104cm wide, 51cm deep, 154cm high (40.5in wide, 20in deep, 60.5in high).
