the pierced top-rail centred by a crown and flanked by putto and foliage above a caned panel back flanked by floral carved panels and barley-twist uprights, the downswept foliate carved arms with scroll terminals and turned supports, the caned seat on floral carved block and barley twist legs supporting a pierced front stretcher rail centred by a crown, with an H-stretcher,some restorations and replacements, the armchair bearing fragments of an old inventory label and another old handwritten label inscribed 'Antique Charles II, circa 1660'(3)
