It was a lovely sight/with the Clog dancer leading the Rush Cart and the girls in their bright costumes collecting for Hey/Church, and pulling the cart along was Bonnie/Warfe, the Milk Horse. Miss Carter (who wore/pink) had walked down to meet us, but looked/rather disapproving at the man on the Top of the/Rushes trying to drink Beer out of the spout of an old copper kettle, while everyone called/and clapped him and said that if he fell off/he'd be Kettled. Mr Taylor (the Bank Manager) had seen us and even he laughed & said he/hoped Billy Wroe would fall off and the year was 1907/Helen Layfield Bradley. 1971.' (on a label attached to the backboard)
