A rare early 19th century dai tokei with original glazed case
Surmounted by a straight sided bell over a single foliot with elaborately pierced bar and ten notches, the side doors and dial plate well engraved with peonies within a geometric border, the dial with rotating chapter ring of adjustable hour and half hour numerals reading against a pierced steel hand, the weight driven movement with solid brass wheel work terminating in a verge escapement with inside countwheel, all contained within a tall tapering glazed case with two doors, for winding the patinated brass weights and adjusting the dial The clock 15cms high, the case 76cms high

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £2,500 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £2,500 up to and including £300,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £300,000 up to and including £3,000,000;
and 13.9% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £3,000,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
