Large Cavansite Plate
Wagholi, Poona, India
Found in an open-pit complex 15 kilometers northeast of Poona, cavansite was first discovered in 1989. Such large-sized specimens are no longer being discovered in India and this one, with its perfectly intact white bladed crystals of stilbite is beautiful. The surface of the plate is scattered with a deep, teal-blue color having an unclouded appearanceso often do these specimens have a slight haze to them (or an overgrowth of quartz). An excellent room-sized display specimen. Measuring 12 x 10 x 3 ½ in
