A graceful sea lily, exhibiting a calyx measuring three inches in width, displays a lifelike presentation, as though swaying amidst several other stems. The irregular outline of the limestone matrix creates an aesthetically appealing composition. The sea cliffs on the Dorset Coast of England are renowned for wonderful Lower Jurassic fossils, which they have yielded for 200 years. One of the best known of these is the crinoid.
