1936 Wolseley Super Six Single Limousine
Chassis no. 225L518
Engine no. 630
The Wolseley Motor Company was a British Auto manufacturer founded in 1901. The company officially became the Wolseley Motor Company in 1914 located in Birmingham England. After 1935 it was incorporated into larger companies but the Wolseley name remained as an up market Marque until 1975.

The Wolseley Super Six Model was made from 1935-1937 with three engine configurations. 16HP, 21HP & 25HP.

The Salon-de-Ville and Single Limousine produced on the 25h.p. chassis were essentially identical except for the interior: the Salon having a standard interior, while the Single Limousine had a patrician between the driver/occupant, leather in the front and cord for the back compartment.

The Wolseley Registry in England records all surviving Wolseley cars. Their database of around 5500 cars accounts an estimated half of all surviving Wolseley's. This car is one of 9 surviving Series II, Super Six Limousines.

Total Super Six production (mostly standard wheelbase cars, bodied as saloons) was around 3500, from late 1935 to late 1937. We don't know how many Super Sixes were the long wheelbase version, bodied as limousines, but my guess is around 10% of the 25HP model's production - perhaps 30 cars. (The Super Six was produced as a 16HP, 21HP and 25HP but only the 25HP was available as a long-wheelbase vehicle).

The Wolseley is a survivor car in original un-restored condition. Ownership is documented from 1936 to present.
The winner will also receive the original hardbound owners manual and registration booklet!
