A Large Goldscheider figure of Boudica
Circa 1900
Modelled in buff terracotta as a Romano-British female warrior, standing in defensive pose looking downwards, her right arm raised behind her head holding a large dagger, her semi-naked body clothed with a Stola, a lion skin wrapped around her waist, her long flowing hair underneath a Cassis helmet, painted throughout in muted colours and heightened with gilt detailing. 110cm high, indistinctly signed to base.
