1930 Bugatti Type 35B Project

This project comprises a comprehensive kit of parts – assembled over the past seven years by a UK based vintage motor car enthusiast – to build a Bugatti Type 35B replica. The supercharged Type 35B is rightly regarded as one of the most iconic and successful Grand Prix cars of all time. Accepting that an original T35B is beyond most collectors means, this project represents a rewarding alternative.

This ensemble of parts is based around a chassis constructed in 1980s and principal items include front and rear road springs; engine fire wall; Star Engineering radiator; bulkhead; front axle beam; king pins; stub axles; steering arms and other steering components. Rear axle parts include a differential (original); crown wheel and pinion. Body panels include a bonnet, scuttle, drivers and passenger apron; off-side valance; front apron; seat. The engine/gearbox includes a supercharger casing (original); sump; crankcase; cylinder blocks; cam box and lid; exhaust and inlet manifolds. A set of five original wheels (the more desirable 330mm larger braked versions) form part of the lot and are in good condition.

A list of all parts is available from Bonhams. However, the lot is sold as seen and prospective buyers should ensure they are satisfied with the completeness of the Lot.
