A Dutch Silver-Mounted Hunting Sword, And Two Scandinavian Daggers

The first with slender slightly curved fullered blade (some pitting) retaining traces of etched foliage on both sides of the forte, hilt comprising faceted button quillons, octagonal basal and pommel mounts, and wooden grip of tapering octagonal section inlaid along each side with a vase of flowering foliage in engraved mother-of-pearl and twisted brass wire, the remaining surfaces with lines of rectangular pieces of mother-of-pearl between borders of twisted brass wire, the pommel inlaid with an engraved silver windmill (incomplete); the second comprising a Laplander's sheath knife with rootwood grip, in two-piece reindeer bone scabbard engraved with reindeer on each side and with leather suspension mount, and a white-metal mounted sheath knife, the varnished grip and scabbard each carved with foliage against a punched ground (3)
