the upper part with a moulded overhanging cornice with a pair of frieze drawers with a secret drawer to the side of one drawer and lacking the secret drawers to the centre and side of the other drawer, above a pair doors enclosing nine shorts drawers and a cupboard door enclosing an open recess of three short drawers, above a pair of further drawers, the lower part with a long frieze drawer, above four further long drawers, on bracket feet, the stand constructed using the original stand with the addition of infilled sides and graduated drawers, parts of the stand in dark stained mahogany, the stand presumably adapted in the 18th century, 117cm wide, 51cm deep, 158.5cm high (46in wide, 20in deep, 62in high).

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £2,500 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £2,500 up to and including £300,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £300,000 up to and including £3,000,000;
and 13.9% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £3,000,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
